Growing up my mom made toffee each year at Christmas time to gift to others (just as her own mother did when she was a child). It was something I looked forward to as a child. The smell that filled the house, Christmas music playing in the background... it meant that the holiday season was here and Christmas was coming! It's something I've carried on in my own home now, and it's become my favorite tradition.
Today we're sharing our Toffee recipe with you passed down from my sweet Grandma Hazel. While the recipe may seem "easy" - don't be fooled! There is A LOT of stirring, a lot of watching for color changes, and you have to be very careful when cooking candy (which is why I prefer to still make toffee with my mom - she has it down!). Make sure you have your oven mitts ready and a good Christmas playlist. Enjoy!
