Do You Put Self-Care First?

We are fast approaching the one-year anniversary of the stay-at-home orders here in CA, and we may just be celebrating that anniversary… in the comfort of our home! We are feeling optimistic for summertime and hope we get to plan a small get-away (fingers crossed). But, if there is anything we have learned this last year it is that we could all use a little self-care. Here are a few tips from the Lash Spell team on how you can incorporate self-care into your daily routine:

  • Give yourself the space both mentally and physically to just be. This can mean taking ten minutes for a mediation practice, taking a bath, or even just going to bed early.
  • Exercise! You knew this one was coming. Just twenty minutes getting your heart rate up a day can improve your overall mental health. It can help by reducing anxiety, depression, and also improve self-esteem and cognitive function of your brain. As nike says "just do it!"
  • Drink lots of WATER, and often!
  • Get the natural GLOW! Create a routine that helps you feel confident in your skin. We at the Lash Spell team, have found that having a nightly skincare routine that incorporates the use of a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and enhancing one swipe of Lash Spell serum leave our skin feeling refreshed and ready for bed each night.

Okay, if we haven't convinced you to put your self-care first yet, then let us share one of our favorite quotes we have up at the Lash Spell home office that may just spark something, so you can live a happier life.
